Department Overview

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2001 to offer a four-year undergraduate program with an initial intake of 60 students. The intake was increased to 120 in 2005 and subsequently to 180 in 2013, and then advanced to 240 from 2024 onwards. The department also offers a postgraduate program in Embedded Systems and VLSI (ES & VLSI) with an intake of 6 students.

ECE is one of the most significant and consistently in-demand branches of engineering. The department has built a strong reputation for its academic excellence and effectiveness. It is committed to achieving excellence not only in theoretical instruction but also in experimental research across areas such as microwaves, antennas, VLSI, signal processing, communications, and embedded systems.
